Job Summary:
Note: This is an international role based in Mumbai, India, employed by Harvard Global Services India LLP, an affiliate of Harvard University.
The India Research Center, located in Mumbai, serves as a pivotal hub for the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, focusing on research initiatives, educational programs, and effective communication strategies across India. Under the leadership of Dr. K Viswanath, Lee Kum Kee Professor of Health Communication, the Center aims to forge new strategic partnerships while enhancing existing relationships with various organizations throughout the country.
The Program Assistant will collaborate closely with the India Research Center team, playing a vital role in the development, coordination, and execution of research projects, capacity-building efforts, and knowledge dissemination activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and implementing programmatic activities aligned with the Center's strategic goals.
- Draft concept notes, research manuscripts, and other products for the Center.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and assisting with event logistics.
- Create presentations, briefing documents, and reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Research and aid the Center’s senior team in identifying and connecting with key stakeholders relevant to the Center's initiatives.
- Collaborate with Harvard faculty, project teams, and collaborators to plan, monitor progress, and explore opportunities for capacity building and knowledge dissemination.
- Coordinate in-person and virtual events, including workshops, symposia, webinars, and seminars, and assist in developing workshop materials.
- Support the project team in identifying and liaising with vendors, interns, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform other related duties in support of the Center’s mission and activities.
Additional Requirements:
- The role will necessitate occasional evening hours to align with US-based operations.
- Intermittent travel within India is required.
This position is a term appointment for 2 years from the date of hire with the potential for extension.
