Position Overview
As a Production Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the repair process from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various departments within the collision facility to streamline operations and ensure that all repairs are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the repair workflow from initiation to completion.
- Exhibit a strong sense of urgency to meet project timelines and targets.
- Adapt to changing priorities and dynamic work conditions.
- Optimize technician productivity by tracking performance metrics and effectively distributing tasks.
- Provide the technician team with the necessary resources to facilitate timely repairs.
- Proactively plan for scheduled repairs, ensuring all technical staff are prepared and that parts are organized.
- Foster collaboration among departments to enhance the efficiency of the repair process.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of performance KPIs, including touch time and cycle time.
- Identify process improvements to eliminate bottlenecks and enhance workflow.
- Conduct production meetings with technical staff to establish expectations and repair timelines.
- Prioritize repairs to align with shop targets and maximize throughput.
- Assist in supplementary repairs as per shop policies.
- Ensure compliance with OEM procedures and provide all necessary documentation to technical staff.
- Hold production meetings with front-end staff to communicate the status of work-in-progress vehicles.
- Enhance estimating skills through collaboration with the technical team.
- Monitor shop safety and ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines.
- Oversee shop cleanliness and proper disposal of materials in accordance with shop policies.
- Implement quality control measures throughout the repair process.
