Hello, I'm Abby Jacobs, the leader of product success for our NIL Operations products at Teamworks, including Teamworks GM. As revenue sharing solidifies its role in college athletics, institutions require more than just software solutions; they need a strategic partner who comprehends the complexities of managing athlete compensation, compliance, and NIL at the institutional level. That's where our dedicated team excels.
We are on the lookout for a proactive Product Success Manager to take charge of a portfolio of GM customers and evolve into a comprehensive NIL Operations resource over time. The first phase entails focusing on GM: executing implementations, managing territories, and establishing yourself as the primary expert in revenue share operations. The second phase will expand into Teamworks Influencer: overseeing NIL content and compliance workflows. We seek an individual eager to take ownership of an entire category, rather than simply managing a single product.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of GM customers within a conference territory, acting as their primary liaison from implementation through renewal — collaborating with athletic directors, compliance officers, CFOs, and NIL staff throughout the entire lifecycle of athlete compensation.
Lead the implementation process by facilitating onboarding for new accounts: conducting kickoff calls, configuring setups, training stakeholders, and achieving measurable milestones within established timelines.
Promote ongoing product adoption and value, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance usage and improve customer outcomes.
Collaborate with the product team by conveying customer feedback in roadmap discussions and managing expectations regarding feature timelines.
Transition into Teamworks Influencer over time, taking responsibility for NIL content and compliance workflows to become a holistic NIL Operations resource for your accounts.
Desired Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience
Experience in campus NIL or revenue share roles — from athletic director offices, compliance, NIL directorship, to player relations. It's critical to understand these operations from an insider's perspective.
Familiarity with football or basketball operations and/or the transfer portal is preferred — an understanding of team operations and the transfer portal for teams involved in Revenue Share in these sports is essential. While Teamworks GM caters to all sports, the unique challenges presented by the transfer portal in these primary budget-driven sports necessitate credible communication with their operators.
Strong communication skills to articulate complex information effectively across various stakeholders.
