In 2017, over half of the population in Sub-Saharan Africa lacked access to bank accounts, primarily due to high fees, distant locations, and limited acceptance of cards. This reality forces individuals to stash their savings away and small business owners to rely on exorbitant loans, while parents endure long waits to pay school fees in cash.
We are addressing these challenges by creating financial services that are accessible, affordable, and user-friendly. Our innovative solutions ensure that even in areas with unreliable infrastructure, like electricity and roads, sending money via Wave remains seamless. Since launching our mobile app in Senegal in 2017, facilitating cash deposits, withdrawals, and peer-to-peer payments, we’ve expanded rapidly and now boast millions of users across nine countries.

Your Contribution
As the Product Relations Manager (PRM), you will spearhead the product and technical aspects of our external partner integrations. Acting as a vital link between our partners and our product and engineering teams, you will be responsible for evaluating, developing, and maintaining the integrations that enhance our ecosystem.
In this position, you will:
- Forge robust relationships with partners and manage integrations from concept through to launch, diligently addressing any challenges that arise.
- Assess potential partners' technical readiness and offer straightforward go/no-go recommendations prior to contract finalization.
- Lead technical discussions with partners, converting requirements into actionable specifications for engineering teams.
- Ensure accountability from partners for timely delivery and escalate issues as necessary.
- Track integration performance post-launch and address any decline in effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to deepen existing partnerships.
- Make data-driven decisions regarding build-vs-buy and direct-vs-aggregator strategies.
- Oversee cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, Support, and Partner Operations to facilitate and sustain integrations.
