About the job
Product Manager
Company Overview
At Orcrist Technologies, we are pioneers in developing the Orcrist Intelligence Platform (OIP), a cutting-edge Kubernetes-based data intelligence solution offered as SaaS or available for self-hosting/on-premise, including in secure air-gapped environments. Our mission is to empower defense, law enforcement, and enterprise teams by transforming complex data into actionable insights—securely and ethically.
Role Overview
As a Product Manager, you will take ownership of the entire Innovation initiative pipeline. This includes identifying high-impact opportunities, conducting hypothesis-driven explorations, defining the scope of minimal viable prototypes, and delivering comprehensive handoff packages for long-term productization and operational success.
Your Responsibilities
- Facilitate a transparent portfolio management process for Innovation, including problem identification, hypothesis formulation, success metrics definition, and go/no-go decision making.
- Lead discovery sessions with operational users and customer-facing teams; synthesize insights into clear requirements and user experience flows.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Design to scope and deliver minimal viable prototypes, focusing on the spectrum from data ingestion to processing, machine learning/search, and user interface development.
- Develop comprehensive adoption packages, including Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user experience flows, technical specifications, data schemas, and integration backlogs with defined ownership.
- Ensure prototypes are equipped with measurement capabilities: create instrumentation plans, telemetry dashboards, and track outcomes across various deployment scenarios (cloud, on-premise, and air-gapped).
About You
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Manager in the B2B SaaS space, particularly in technical domains such as data platforms, analytics, machine learning/artificial intelligence products, or developer platforms.
- Proficient in translating complex workflows into deliverable components with well-defined acceptance criteria and completion standards.
- Fluent in data and metrics: experienced in defining success metrics and collaborating on telemetry and dashboard creation.
- Comfortable working alongside engineering and design teams in uncertain, innovative environments; possesses strong documentation skills.
- Eligible to work in Germany and open to occasional travel to Berlin for workshops and user research within Germany/DACH.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated or mission-critical settings; familiarity with air-gapped or on-premise delivery constraints.
- Knowledge of investigative or analyst workflows, including case files, Continuous Improvement Reports (CIR), or similar artifacts.
- Proficiency in German (B1+) and/or experience conducting pilot evaluations with public sector users.
What We Offer
- A remote-first culture in Germany with access to a hybrid office in Berlin, 30 days of vacation, and a budget for equipment and learning.
- High levels of ownership and involvement in end-to-end projects, from data ingestion to processing, machine learning enhancements, search, and UI implementation.
