About the job
Key Responsibilities:
Research & Requirements Gathering
- Conduct comprehensive stakeholder research across product teams, support, engineering, security, and customers to uncover critical IAM needs and issues.
- Transform varied requirements into prioritized actionable steps, determining what is most important and the rationale behind it.
- Validate hypotheses through customer interviews, analysis of support tickets, and usage metrics.
- Identify discrepancies between current capabilities and the actual needs of various user types.
Lead the IAM Product Strategy
- Steer the vision and roadmap for Gcore's IAM platform, ensuring a balance between security, usability, scalability, and prompt delivery of value.
- Define and refine fundamental IAM components: identities, organizations, roles, permissions, access policies, and authorization workflows, designed for cross-product reusability.
- Make IAM decisions that are scalable across multiple products, teams, and customer segments.
Implementation & Delivery
- Lead the development of enterprise-level features including advanced access control, audit logging, SSO/SAML integration, and compliance measures.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and Security to deliver high-quality IAM features that adhere to industry security standards.
- Ensure that implementations include comprehensive audit trails, logging, and compliance documentation.
- Focus on delivering small, impactful releases instead of large-scale projects - prioritize iterative shipping and continuous learning.
Platform-Wide Integration
- Promote IAM integration across all Gcore products and services, creating a cohesive system that connects everything.
- Serve as a product partner for internal teams, facilitating the adoption of IAM capabilities without hindering their delivery timelines.
- Design IAM APIs, workflows, and behaviors that are intuitive, well-documented, and easy to integrate.
- Develop reference implementations and integration examples for teams to utilize.
Adoption & Continuous Improvement
- Drive adoption through well-defined documentation, reference workflows, and examples for both customers and internal teams.
- Establish success metrics (e.g., authentication success rates, integration times, permission coverage, audit completeness) to guide ongoing iterations.
- Oversee customer-facing changes from start to finish, including migrations and rollouts, with a keen focus on reliability and trust.
AI-Driven Product Development (Plus)
- Utilize AI tools to expedite discovery, specification writing, prototyping, and collaboration with Engineering.
- Investigate AI-assisted methods to enhance developer experience, IAM configuration, and operational workflows.
