As we prepare for a retirement departure, we are seeking our next Product Development Manager. This role is pivotal in transforming innovative concepts into industrial successes. Reporting directly to the Site Director, you will ensure the technical feasibility and economic performance of new products, while maintaining seamless coordination with local and international teams within the Group.
The Product Development Manager (R&D / Industrialization) leads the transformation of client needs into tangible industrial solutions. Acting as a conductor between Marketing, Sales, Business Development, and Production, you will ensure the design of innovative, profitable products that comply with European standards. Additionally, you will provide strategic insights to the Executive Committee regarding medium-term technological advancements.
Main Responsibilities
Industrialization Management: You will oversee the technical and industrial phases of projects stemming from Technical Sales Support (TSS) or Marketing, ensuring strict adherence to timelines.
Innovation & Design: In close collaboration with Business Development and Marketing, you will define and develop self-adhesive solutions (or printed intermediates) that meet market demands.
Performance & Compliance: You will ensure that every product designed is manufacturable, cost-effective, and fully compliant with European safety and environmental regulations. You will lead testing and work closely with process and quality teams and assist in implementing standard operating procedures (SOP).
Communication & Networking: You will promote the site’s new products within the Group and actively contribute to growth initiatives on a European and global scale.
Strategic Vision: You will participate in the site’s strategy and lend your expertise to the Executive Committee to anticipate future productions and adjust medium-term industrial strategies.
Continuous Improvement: You will engage in the site’s and group’s continuous improvement dynamics, focusing on process standardization, digitalization, and optimization.
Position Context: This position is open due to a retirement. A one-year transition is planned to assist the incoming manager in acclimating to their new environment and facilitate knowledge transfer.
