POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a dedicated and flexible Product Design Engineer to tackle challenges in creating the next generation of wearable robotic devices for everyday use.
As part of our talented team, you will take ownership of detailed designs that are ready for scaling, manufacturing, and distribution. Our flat organizational structure means your contributions will directly impact product development, starting in an individual contributor role.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of core CAD designs for essential sub-assemblies, covering architecture, design optimization, manufacturability, tolerance analysis, implementation, testing, and commercialization.
Manage vendor relationships, including potential travel to Asia, and oversee continuous cost-reduction initiatives.
Translate product requirements into engineering specifications, collaborating across functions.
Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to meet product performance and durability criteria.
Facilitate cross-functional design reviews.
Develop specifications, requirements, and testing protocols to verify functionality, safety, and design efficacy.
Prepare technical documentation and assembly instructions to ensure clear guidance on manufacturing and usage.
