We are currently seeking a Procurement Manager on behalf of our client, a major Greek telecommunications firm.
Main Responsibilities
- Receive and assess procurement requests from projects/departments.
- Conduct market research to identify reliable suppliers.
- Evaluate bids based on technical and financial criteria.
- Negotiate purchasing terms (prices, delivery times, payments).
- Create purchase orders through ERP and monitor execution.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics for material receipt, delivery, and quality control.
- Maintain and periodically assess supplier records.
- Participate in the development of procurement policies and processes.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Logistics, or a technical field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a technical or construction company.
- Strong knowledge of the building materials sector, tools, and construction equipment.
- Experience in negotiations and supplier contract management.
- Proficient in ERP systems (ideally SoftOne or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Good command of the English language (technical-commercial terminology).
