Job Purpose:
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and developing innovative methods and systems to enhance production efficiency and output.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and update product and component cost estimates, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of costing challenges.
- Assess factory layout conditions and propose improvements for new projects.
- Design and monitor technology enhancement plans, training schedules, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Create and implement best practices and innovative solutions to boost production rates and improve product quality.
- Manage costs and timelines using SAP, conducting analyses to identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Conduct process simulations and risk assessments to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Document processes and provide clear operating instructions for staff.
- Oversee the adoption of new procedures and workflows within the factory.
- Analyze existing processes and recommend enhancements for better performance.
- Investigate and address any operational issues that arise.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports to enhance accuracy and minimize production discrepancies.
- Analyze cost variance reports related to monthly production orders.
- Update manufacturing databases to reflect current market raw material prices.
- Share layout insights and calculate production requirements to meet targeted productivity levels.
- Evaluate technology system inputs and outputs to identify bottlenecks and enhance performance.
- Collaborate with CPD and CSD to create product and spare parts catalogues.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
