The Opportunity
As a Platform DevOps Engineer at Betsson, you will play a crucial role in architecting, building, and managing essential platform services that fuel our applications and enhance customer experiences. Your responsibilities will encompass the management and optimization of our CDN, Cloud Edge functions, DNS, WAF, and IIS-based applications, ensuring they operate with high availability, scalability, and robust security across all environments.
We are looking for candidates with extensive technical knowledge in AWS cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, and automation tools. Your focus will be on facilitating the reliable, efficient, and secure deployment of applications at the edge. You will collaborate closely with developers, security engineers, and infrastructure teams to ensure that our platform capabilities align with the overarching goals of the organization.
Your contributions will directly support our vision of migrating workloads from traditional on-premise infrastructure to state-of-the-art, cloud-native, and edge-optimized platforms.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Platform Ownership: Oversee and enhance CDN, DNS, WAF, edge functions (NodeJS), and IIS applications, ensuring optimal reliability, security, and performance.
- Cloud & Infrastructure as Code: Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, prioritizing scalability and GitOps best practices.
- Automation & Configuration Management: Develop automation workflows using Ansible and Git to increase deployment speed and minimize manual efforts.
- Cloud Native Transformation: Facilitate the transition from on-premise to AWS cloud-native workloads, integrating edge-first strategies as required.
- Kubernetes Integration: Collaborate with container platform teams to merge workloads with Kubernetes, ensuring smooth interoperability with edge services.
- Collaboration & Guidance: Partner closely with developers, architects, and security engineers to incorporate WAF, CDN, and DNS modifications into CI/CD pipelines and delivery processes.
- Monitoring & Reliability: Establish and monitor metrics, logs, and traces across platform services to proactively identify issues, enhance performance, and bolster resilience.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep up-to-date with industry trends in cloud computing, CDN, and edge technologies to drive ongoing improvement.
