What Does a Physical Therapy Technician Do?
- As a Physical Therapy Technician, you will support licensed Physical and Occupational Therapists by assisting in patient care and ensuring a safe and efficient therapeutic environment.
- Your role will involve adhering to state regulations and company protocols to contribute to outstanding patient care.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail are essential for providing high-quality support to our patients.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Preparing treatment areas and equipment for patient sessions.
- Assisting or observing patients during their therapy exercises while documenting their responses.
- Administering basic treatments as instructed, including applying ice packs and heat pads.
- Maintaining cleanliness by sanitizing equipment, therapy areas, and managing linens.
- Handling administrative tasks such as patient intake, scheduling appointments, and answering phone inquiries.
- Performing any other tasks as assigned by supervising therapists.
Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to multitask and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with computer systems and a willingness to learn new software applications.
