Scope of Position:
As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the lives of our Residents by delivering compassionate personal care under the guidance of Registered Staff, as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary care team. Your focus will be on the holistic needs of each Resident, considering their emotional, physical, intellectual, cultural, and spiritual well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized daily care to Residents, ensuring a person-centered approach.
- Monitor and report changes in Residents' conditions to the Registered Staff promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of nursing and Resident care equipment.
- Communicate any maintenance or safety needs, as well as shortages of supplies or equipment, to Registered Staff.
- Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and Nursing Department sessions effectively.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on providing quality care.
- Comply with Health and Safety standards, regulations, and guidelines.
- Participate in mandatory educational programs and in-service training per MOHLTC regulations.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, procedures, and practices.
- Stay informed about emergency procedures and participate in drills.
- Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
- Uphold confidentiality and comply with all corporate and home policies.
