The People team at SumUp collaborates closely with business leaders to cultivate high-performing, scalable organizations. In this pivotal role, you will act as the dedicated People Partner for our rapidly expanding Field Sales and Commercial teams in Italy and emerging markets. This dynamic area is experiencing swift growth, necessitating robust and consistent people support to align with its ambitious goals. Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Field Sales and Commercial leaders in Italy to facilitate organizational planning, team structuring, and hiring prioritization alongside Talent Acquisition.
- Enhance onboarding and offboarding processes to accommodate a high-volume hiring model, aiming for a sub-24-hour setup time for new hires and onboarded consultants.
- Review full-time and consultant contracts in collaboration with Legal and Sales leadership, making necessary adjustments and ensuring compliance.
- Support the performance development cycle for Field Sales teams, including implementing Seeds & Steps frameworks and training leaders on performance-based processes.
- Establish and maintain a regular reporting framework covering attrition, productivity, talent density, eNPS, and spans of control—leveraging insights to identify risks and proactively address non-obvious people issues.
- Partner with Compensation & Benefits to ensure SumUp's offerings remain competitive and continue attracting top Sales talent across Italy.
Qualifications We're Seeking
- Proven experience supporting Sales teams in a high-growth or high-volume environment, including both full-time employees and consultant or self-employed workforce models.
- In-depth knowledge of Italian employment law and HR practices, with the capability to navigate complex or sensitive employment matters.
- Exceptional ability to quickly build trust with senior leaders and translate business requirements into actionable people solutions.
- Fluency in both Italian and English; proficiency in French is a significant advantage.
- Comfortable working with people data and analytics to monitor trends, recognize risks, and present evidence-based recommendations to leadership.
