About the Team and Position
This role transcends the traditional HR position. As a People Operations Specialist focused on Leaves and Accommodations, you will serve as a vital connection between our team members and the business, ensuring that every individual at Carvana feels supported and respected during pivotal life events.
In this capacity, you will not just be an administrator; you will be a customer service advocate and an expert advisor. Your responsibilities will involve balancing team member support with accountability to streamline processes that fulfill essential business requirements.
This is a fully on-site position, Monday through Friday, at our corporate headquarters in Tempe, Arizona.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in every interaction with team members and leaders.
- Own the Process: Manage the full lifecycle of all Leaves of Absence (LOA) and Accommodation (ADA) requests—from initial inquiry to return-to-work clearance.
- Be the Expert & Advisor: Position yourself as the primary source of knowledge for all Carvana teammates and leaders, offering clear, straightforward guidance on parental, medical, military, and other leave policies.
- Proactively Partner: Anticipate and address issues with a proactive approach.
