We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to oversee and administer every aspect of our payroll process. This critical role ensures that all employees receive their payments accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of payroll policies, tax regulations, and labor laws, alongside exceptional organizational capabilities. You will work closely with Human Resources, Finance, and management teams to guarantee compliance and confidentiality in payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete payroll process for all employees, ensuring precision and adherence to deadlines.
- Verify timesheets and compute wages, deductions, overtime, and bonuses, maintaining thorough documentation for payroll modifications.
- Prepare and uphold payroll records, including data entry, payroll journals, and payroll register reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, wage, and hour laws, and implement changes as necessary based on industry updates.
- Prepare and submit required payroll tax forms and filings, including W-2s and 1095s, along with other year-end documentation.
- Address payroll inquiries from employees, serving as a resource for questions regarding policies, adjustments, and discrepancies.
- Facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring seamless payroll transitions and final payments.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance in employee records management.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports to HR, finance, and management teams, detailing payroll expenses, tax deductions, and other metrics.
- Assist in audits by reconciling payroll accounts and providing necessary documentation.
- Identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes for improved efficiency.
- Collaborate with HRIS and payroll software vendors to optimize system functionalities.
