The Role
In your capacity as Payroll Lead, you will be instrumental in establishing, managing, and continually enhancing a top-tier payroll operations organization, which includes both internal teams and outsourced partners. Serving as the operational authority for payroll, you will provide legislative guidance and ensure a seamless payroll experience for employees. Your role is critical within the People Team, overseeing accurate and timely global payroll delivery across various regions and entities in collaboration with external payroll providers.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Supervise the comprehensive execution of global payroll processing and liaise with external vendors to ensure precise, compliant, and timely payroll results across multiple regions, entities, and pay frequencies.
- Mentor and develop our Payroll Specialist and external partners, setting high performance standards, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Act as the operational authority for payroll, ensuring the integrity of employee pay data across various systems and within HR, finance, and accounting workflows.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex payroll challenges and system discrepancies sustainably, utilizing sound judgment and root-cause analysis to mitigate recurrence and minimize operational risk.
- Construct and refine the payroll support operating model, which includes case workflows, intake channels, escalation paths, service-level agreements (SLAs), and quality benchmarks.
- Continuously build and maintain a rigorous compliance framework ensuring alignment with local labor laws and regulations.
