In this role, you will be responsible for crafting exquisite pastries, breads, desserts, and other baked goods, adhering to our established recipes and brand standards while maintaining food safety regulations. You will ensure that every product meets our high standards of presentation, flavor, and hygiene, supporting the ongoing operations of our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft and bake a diverse range of breads, pastries, cakes, and specialty items.
- Adhere to standardized recipes and portion control protocols.
- Maintain consistent quality and presentation across all pastry products.
- Contribute to menu planning and seasonal dessert innovations (if in a senior capacity).
- Prepare mise en place based on daily production needs.
- Oversee baking times, temperatures, and the quality of ingredients.
Inventory Management:
- Track baking ingredient stock levels and supplies.
- Assist with inventory audits and stock management.
- Minimize waste and ensure proper portion sizes.
- Notify supervisors of any shortages or quality issues.
Food Safety & Hygiene:
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and HACCP protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the pastry kitchen and all equipment.
- Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) practices for ingredient management.
- Accurately label and store ingredients and finished products.
- Promptly report any spoilage or expired items.
