We are seeking a Parts Buyer (m/f/d) to join our Material Management team in the port services sector at our Würzburg location as soon as possible.
In this role, you will bridge operational purchasing with tactical sourcing, significantly contributing to customer satisfaction, equipment availability, and sustainable business performance. You will manage the daily procurement of parts for port equipment, ensuring both stock replenishment needs and individual customer orders are met reliably and on time.
Your responsibilities include:
- Operational Purchasing and Demand Management: Overseeing operational procurement and tactical sourcing strategies, assessing and addressing customer needs, creating and managing purchase orders, tracking deadlines and deliveries, while ensuring timely availability of parts for customer orders and stock items, considering schedules, costs, and availability.
- Supplier Performance and Delivery Control: Monitoring deliveries, tracking order confirmations, and daily management of supplier performance to ensure reliable and punctual delivery.
- Issue and Escalation Management: Addressing bottlenecks, quality issues, discrepancies in order quantities, and pricing, including escalation and close collaboration with procurement and relevant stakeholders as necessary.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborating closely with material planning, procurement, customer service, logistics, back-office, and other internal stakeholders in a cross-functional environment to ensure smooth end-to-end processes.
- Master Data and Continuous Improvement: Maintaining and continuously improving SAP master data to enable accurate transaction processing, monitoring operational KPIs such as delivery reliability, availability, and backlogs within your responsibility, and initiating improvement measures to enhance supplier performance and optimize purchasing processes.
Your qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, or a related field.
- Personality: Strong ability to prioritize and organize in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a service-oriented approach towards internal stakeholders.
