Role and Team
- As a Security Guard, you will be a vital part of the Security Team, executing processes to ensure the safety of our associates, customers, and assets. You will serve as the first point of contact for customers, vendors, and associates at our gates. Your responsibilities will include ensuring Inventory Control procedures are followed and utilizing ADESA technology effectively. You will also assist with vehicle location research when necessary. This hourly position reports to the Operations or designated manager and may require various shifts, including weekends.
Responsibilities
- Secure all gates and buildings while patrolling the premises. Respond to emergencies by sounding alarms and notifying authorities.
- Verify that only authorized individuals enter the property and provide directions to customers, vendors, and transporters.
- Check gate passes to confirm vehicles are authorized to exit the property.
- Inspect departing vehicles to guard against theft of company property.
- Greet customers at the gate and offer prompt and courteous service, addressing any complaints in a friendly manner.
- De-escalate difficult situations to maintain a safe environment.
