Role and Team
- As a Security Guard, you will be a vital member of our Security Team, responsible for implementing processes to safeguard our associates, customers, and assets. You will represent ADESA at our gates, interacting with customers, vendors, and associates. Your role will involve ensuring adherence to Inventory Control procedures and utilizing ADESA technology effectively. You may also assist in vehicle location research when necessary. This position is hourly and reports to the Operations or designated manager, with the potential for various shifts and weekend work.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure all gates and buildings, patrolling the premises and responding to emergencies by sounding alarms and notifying authorities.
- Ensure only authorized individuals access the property and provide directions to customers, vendors, and transporters.
- Verify gate passes for exiting vehicles to prevent unauthorized departures.
- Inspect departing vehicles to protect against theft of company property.
- Greet customers at the gate, delivering prompt and courteous service, while resolving any complaints amicably.
- De-escalate challenging situations to maintain positive relationships with partners and collaborators.
