Position Overview:
The Retail Sales Associate at PetSmart plays a crucial role in creating positive experiences for pet parents and their pets, aligning with our mission, vision, and values. This role includes ensuring store cleanliness and maintenance, upholding pet safety standards, and providing direct care for pets in our store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with pet parents and their pets in-store, over the phone, and online.
- Welcome pet parents and provide assistance throughout their shopping journey.
- Prepare online orders for in-store pickup, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Care for store-owned pets, including feeding, watering, and maintaining clean habitats.
- Uphold store cleanliness and organization standards.
- Assist with pricing updates and promotional setups.
- Organize and display new products as per sales floor plans.
- Restock shelves and ensure product availability on the sales floor.
- Recommend and sell merchandise, services, and live pets.
- Administer medications to store pets as per veterinary instructions.
- Promote special events like adoption weekends and charitable activities.
- Maintain a safe environment for associates, pets, and customers.
- Act promptly in the case of any sick or injured pets, including transport to a veterinarian if necessary.
- Collaborate across various store areas and take on additional tasks as needed.
- Contribute to a company culture of belonging and recognition.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
