About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled part-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to deliver urgent care services through telemedicine. This position encompasses both video and message-based consultations across various shifts, including weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will utilize their advanced clinical expertise and technology to provide top-notch, patient-centered care in a virtual setting.
Shift Options:
- Days (7am-3pm EST) + weekends
- Mids (3pm-11pm EST) + weekends
- Nights (11pm-7am EST) + weekends
- Weekends only (Days, Mids or Nights)
*Additional shift flexibility may be available.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care through scheduled and on-demand telemedicine visits for urgent, non-emergent medical conditions.
- Conduct thorough virtual assessments, diagnose common acute illnesses and injuries, and create evidence-based treatment plans in line with state regulations.
- Prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate for a telemedicine context, and refer patients to specialists or higher care levels as needed.
- Accurately document all patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely manner.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, professional practice standards, and company policies.
- Effectively manage a range of urgent care complaints, including upper respiratory infections, minor wounds, urinary tract infections, rashes, and gastrointestinal issues.
