This role involves supporting the Department of Food & Nutrition by efficiently delivering and retrieving patient trays in a room service model. Responsibilities include ensuring timely and safe handling of food and items for designated patient care areas, while also practicing the Best Patient Experience Philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow oral and written instructions, including policies and procedures.
- Execute diverse tasks following established procedures that require sound judgment.
- Read and comprehend tray tickets accurately.
- Understand dietary restrictions and provide knowledgeable responses.
- Maintain a positive, service-oriented attitude, especially during peak hours.
- Serve and retrieve patient and guest trays courteously.
- Notify nutrition operators of food issues to ensure meal quality.
- Deliver trays accurately per established protocols.
- Conduct satisfaction checks with patients.
- Observe HIPAA and patient identification guidelines.
- Ensure safe working practices, including proper cart movement and security procedures.
- Clean and sanitize delivery and retrieval carts daily.
- Adhere to diet and allergy restrictions for patient food orders.
- Perform assigned tasks efficiently during meal service.
- Handle multiple orders proficiently.
