About the Role:
Join the dynamic team at Soho House as a Part-Time Busser where you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests. As a Busser, you will assist our servers and management by maintaining a clean and organized dining area, resetting tables, and ensuring that all necessary items are readily available. Your keen attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
To excel in this role, you must be efficient, attentive, and possess excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare tables before service, ensuring place settings are tidy and candles are lit.
- Utilize the appropriate tableware for different dining services throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Restock all stations upon arrival and maintain them throughout service, ensuring a continuous supply of essential items.
- Deliver bread and water to guests promptly upon arrival while collaborating with other sections as needed.
- Clear and reset tables between courses to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Polish silverware and ensure proper storage according to local standards.
- Complete side work before and after service as per the assigned tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness in the bar area by ensuring glassware and silverware are stocked.
- Remove dirty linens and ensure trash is disposed of properly.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic verbal communication skills are essential.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to grasp and hold objects with hands.
- Able to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
- Requires fast-paced movement throughout the venue.
- Must be able to lift, carry, or move at least 40 pounds.
- Occasional kneeling, bending, and climbing may be required.
