About the job
Boskalis provides a distinctive environment where maritime expertise, operational excellence, and project execution converge—both at sea and onshore.
As an Operations Manager, you will oversee the operation of a fleet of vessels throughout all phases of our projects. Our diverse fleet comprises 34 vessels, including Anchor Handling Tugs, Construction Support Vessels, and Ocean Towing Vessels. You will serve as the primary interface for both internal and external clients engaged in the renewables and Oil & Gas sectors.
In this role, your key responsibility will be to ensure that your assigned vessel(s) are fully operational and project-ready at all times. This encompasses arranging crewing, guaranteeing technical and operational readiness for upcoming projects, managing financial performance during execution, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations throughout charter periods. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Fleet, Crewing, Commercial, and Engineering to align operational execution with project and contract specifications. While your primary focus will be on operational delivery, you will also act as a crucial point of contact for clients regarding operational matters during project execution, ensuring effective communication, managing expectations, and resolving operational challenges promptly. Through this balanced interaction with both internal teams and external clients, you will safeguard reliable vessel operations and contribute to successful project outcomes.
Within the Marine Services business unit, projects revolve around floating and moored structures such as FPSOs, FPUs, TLPs, or SPARs in Oil & Gas, as well as typical floaters in Floating Wind. Some of the projects this team has engaged in include the Offshore Wind Installation Kincardine and the WindPlus Project off the coast of Portugal. With the ongoing development of Floating Wind solutions globally, Boskalis is expanding its fleet and organization to meet the increasing demand for our Transportation & Installation expertise.
