About Vitestro
Established in 2017 in Utrecht, Vitestro is at the forefront of revolutionizing blood collection with the Aletta® Autonomous Robotic Phlebotomy Device™ (ARPD™). This innovative medical device leverages cutting-edge multi-modal imaging technologies, including near-infrared, ultrasound, and Doppler ultrasound, combined with robotics and artificial intelligence to autonomously execute the complete diagnostic blood draw process.
By tackling critical healthcare staffing shortages and enhancing patient experiences, Vitestro is transforming one of the most prevalent and essential medical procedures. With a rapidly expanding team of over 90 members, we are scaling our impact and have recently placed our first devices with customers, prompting an expansion of our team to ensure successful implementation and long-term reliability.
At Vitestro, we are dedicated to ongoing innovation and improvement.
Role Overview
In the role of NPI Engineer, you will be instrumental in transitioning hardware subsystems from development to stable series production. Working at the intersection of research and development and production, you will ensure that new subsystems are verified, documented, transferred, and enhanced in a structured and scalable manner. You will coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, including mechanical, electrical, software, quality, and production teams, to align on requirements, timelines, risks, and readiness for release.
Initially, your focus will be on two specific subsystems, where you will execute and update verification test cases, develop test scripts where necessary, and ensure thorough documentation of results. You will interpret engineering intents and create practical work instructions for production, while also training production engineers on the correct assembly of new subsystems. Concurrently, you will refine process designs and reflect those enhancements in CAD models. You will facilitate technical discussions between R&D and production, drive the resolution of outstanding issues, and ensure clear ownership throughout the subsystem transfer process.
You will take ownership of the hardware release and transfer process, aligning stakeholders around defined milestones, deliverables, and validation criteria, ensuring that subsystems transition seamlessly from prototype to series production with comprehensive documentation, defined responsibilities, and rigorous validation.
