The Network Security Analyst plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization’s network infrastructure. This position involves the design, implementation, and continuous monitoring of security controls to mitigate risks and enhance network security. The analyst will identify vulnerabilities, respond to security incidents, manage firewalls, and oversee intrusion detection and prevention systems. Collaboration with IT teams is essential to assess risks and fortify defenses while ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of network systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Configure, manage, and monitor firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC, and secure remote access solutions.
- Conduct network security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and remediation of penetration testing findings.
- Monitor security events and logs; investigate and respond to security incidents effectively.
- Establish and enforce network security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Manage network segmentation, access controls, and implement zero-trust security models.
- Secure network protocols, routing, switching, and wireless infrastructures.
- Collaborate with IT, cloud, and Security Operations Center (SOC) teams to integrate security across infrastructure and applications.
- Support compliance with regulatory and security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI-DSS.
- Maintain thorough documentation, diagrams, and incident response procedures.
- Stay updated with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Security Technology & Engineering.
