The History Department at Riverdale is searching for an enthusiastic and collaborative educator to teach History to both Middle School (grades 6-8) and Upper School (grades 9-12) students. The ideal candidate will possess a profound passion for the study of history and its diverse perspectives, alongside a commitment to enhancing and diversifying their pedagogical methods. Our History curriculum is designed to cultivate students' critical thinking skills and enable them to formulate nuanced arguments about historical events, fostering connections between their studies and the contemporary world. By exploring a variety of historical viewpoints, we prepare our students to engage in meaningful dialogues across differences. We challenge them to pursue their inquiries through thorough identification, evaluation, and understanding of a wide range of sources.
