Reporting to: The Apprenticeship Supervisor and Manager.
Job Purpose: Engage in the manufacturing of various metal components to support production at Harland and Wolff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Learn to effectively plan and prepare for metal fabrication tasks before commencing work.
- Develop the skills to verify that materials meet specified grades, dimensions, and thicknesses as indicated in engineering drawings.
- Master the correct methods for moving and handling materials safely.
- Gain the ability to set up, check, and adjust fabrication equipment, ensuring it remains in a safe and reliable condition.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately produce and assemble complex fabricated products.
- Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to shape and form metal materials while applying knowledge of their properties.
- Monitor resources and activities throughout the fabrication process, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Acquire skills in cutting, drilling, shaping, and preparing metal using both manual and power tools.
- Operate tools and equipment to join metal components using various fastening techniques.
- Use thermal joining equipment to connect metal parts following specified standards.
- Conduct inspections and tests on joins to ensure security and compliance with required standards.
- Perform quality checks on component parts and completed assemblies.
