Job Purpose: As a Metal Fabricator Apprentice, you will engage in the fabrication and manufacturing of metal products, contributing significantly to production processes at Navantia UK.

Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, organizational practices, and environmental standards at all times.
- Plan and prepare for metal fabrication tasks effectively.
- Verify that materials meet specified grades, dimensions, and thicknesses as outlined in engineering designs.
- Employ correct techniques for the safe moving and handling of resources and materials.
- Set up, adjust, and maintain equipment for reliable metal fabrication.
- Interpret technical drawings, patterns, and specifications to create complex fabricated products accurately.
- Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to shape and form metal materials, leveraging knowledge of material properties.
- Monitor fabrication processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform cutting, drilling, and shaping of metals using both manual and power tools, ensuring precision through mathematical calculations.
- Operate tools and equipment required for joining metal parts, adhering to specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect and test joins for security, ensuring compliance with required standards.
- Conduct quality checks on components and assemblies.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during fabrication activities.
