Position Overview: We are hiring for both full-time and part-time hours.
As the Medical Director, you will oversee the Medical Department, ensuring the highest quality of care, enhancing our services, identifying growth opportunities, developing medical policies, collaborating across departments, and implementing best practices through research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Chief Program Officer to explore grants and growth opportunities that expand clinical services tailored to our diverse community.
- Act as the clinical expert and mentor to the Senior Director of Clinical Services and the Senior Director of Community Programs, who manage all programs and services.
- Establish and enforce Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Medication Services Department.
- Lead and motivate the medication services team with a patient-first, person-centered, trauma-informed care approach.
- Assist in identifying, selecting, and implementing evidence-based clinical practices for the outpatient department, working closely with the Senior Director of Clinical Services and Chief Program Officer.
- Conduct educational seminars on pertinent medical and psychiatric issues within behavioral health.
- Perform quarterly audits of prescribers to ensure high-quality prescribing practices and documentation.
- Provide clinical supervision for all APRNs and LPNs, including monthly individual supervision and evaluations.
- Possess knowledge and understanding of treatment options, educating on the complexities of integrating physical health conditions with substance use disorders and their impact on mental health.
- Facilitate combined clinic meetings, weekly Risk Review meetings, and care coordination meetings, while attending other scheduled meetings for supervision, training, consultation, and collaboration.
- Provide medical oversight for clinic and residential programs, reviewing referrals for appropriate care.
