Key Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and manage test plans to verify and validate new product designs.
Design and specify test fixtures necessary for testing, and collaborate on the manufacturing test requirements for product industrialization.
Oversee lab calibration, address safety concerns, and assist in the implementation of Global Test Delivery initiatives.
Manage ISO 9001 and IMS 14001 audits for the test lab, lead 5S initiatives, and enforce health and safety protocols in the lab.
Create safety risk assessments for test setups, identifying potential hazards and appropriate control measures.
Conduct mechanical and control system testing and assembly in lab environments, ensuring compliance with required specifications and standards.
Troubleshoot basic control systems and testing setups.
Assemble mechanical and electrical components for test setups, ensuring the correct fit and functionality, while interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
Engage in continuous improvement processes relating to systems testing, assembly, and deployment, while assisting in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering projects.
Maintain thorough documentation of test results, assembly processes, and issues encountered during testing, with the ability to present findings effectively.
Analyze test results and provide valuable feedback to the development team.
Coordinate with vendors and verify parts.
Core Technical Skills
Define precise test requirements for both positive and negative test scenarios, including necessary equipment and procedural steps.
Comprehend the purpose of testing and its influence on the development lifecycle.
Possess strong knowledge of risk assessment, identifying hazards, and evaluating associated risks within the test system or setup.
Familiarity with safe laboratory practices and procedures, with the ability to create standard operating procedures for test equipment.
