ABOUT THE JOB:
We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design and development of complex electro-mechanical systems and structural electronics packaging for space applications. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in mechanical design, development, analysis, and manufacturing of intricate mechanical hardware, including precision space structures and mechanisms, within a collaborative program team environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and develop cutting-edge infrared sensors for space applications.
- Create high-precision and complex opto-mechanical systems.
- Conduct testing to validate and qualify new designs.
- Apply first principles physics in all design decisions.
- Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production.
- Assist in critical hardware demonstrations for customers as required.
- Undertake rigorous opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical design tasks.
