Cory Group is excited to announce an opening for a Mechanical Engineer at our state-of-the-art Energy from Waste (EfW) Facility situated in Belvedere, Kent. We are proud to operate one of the largest EfW facilities in the UK, located along the scenic banks of the River Thames in London. With a second facility currently under construction and ongoing expansions in our waste transfer operations, your contributions will be essential to our future growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer, your primary focus will be on enhancing the strategic framework and operational resilience of Cory Group. Your role will involve:
Planning and executing major outage projects effectively.
Providing technical support to our Maintenance Team to ensure optimal plant availability.
Collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Assurance, and Logistics teams to maximize facility efficiency.
Developing best practices for asset resilience and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Engineering Team Contributions
As part of our Engineering team, you will actively contribute to our medium to long-term asset management strategy. Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards in all equipment and project implementations.
Contributing to the asset replacement strategy by addressing obsolescence and identifying improvement opportunities.
Assisting in the preparation of annual and long-term maintenance budgets.
Becoming a technical expert in your assigned area and supporting advanced maintenance techniques.
The successful candidate will:
Assume technical responsibility for significant plant sections.
Diagnose issues and devise improvement plans.
Lead and manage improvement projects within your scope of responsibility.
Oversee maintenance contracts, including long-term service agreements.
Aid in developing and executing outage plans effectively.
