Position Overview:
The Materials Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire materials flow process, from the receipt of components to the shipping of final products, ensuring that IEM meets its commitment to quality and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage inventory control and accuracy across all materials, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, ensuring effective planning, material transactions, scheduling, cost management, and logistics.
· Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure timely delivery of all components and materials to support production processes.
· Supervise planning, receiving, shipping, and warehousing operations.
· Develop and implement best practices for inventory forecasting and material control processes.
· Monitor material inventories, production progress, and factors affecting scheduling to establish and oversee production scheduling activities.
· Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and Quality Manager to evaluate, monitor, and report on supplier performance metrics.
· Facilitate the resolution of vendor return material authorizations in alignment with production schedules.
· Ensure inventory counts are accurate through the implementation and management of an effective inventory control system, in collaboration with Finance, to identify and address discrepancies.
· Contribute to cross-functional operational decision-making as a member of the operations team.
· Uphold a safe and healthy work environment by implementing policies that comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding health and safety.
