We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to play a key role in managing the arrival, storage, distribution, and documentation of material movements within our high-volume production environment. This position is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory and traceability records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently coordinate and control the flow of materials to and from the production floor based on production and shipping priorities.
- Accurately maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock while documenting all inventory movements as required.
- Assist in receiving material deliveries, ensuring quantities match purchase orders.
- Process delivery notes to confirm that deliveries correspond to invoices in terms of quantities.
- Conduct quality checks on materials as necessary.
- Interpret material movement instructions effectively.
- Ensure accuracy by counting and weighing materials.
- Load, unload, sort, and transport products and materials using appropriate equipment while adhering to health and safety standards.
- Support cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods.
- Retrieve and verify materials according to work orders, transporting them as needed.
- Prepare and pack consignments for delivery, ensuring protection during transit.
- Maintain material-handling equipment through pre-use inspections and safe operation.
- Segregate and manage waste according to company standards, maintaining a clean work environment.
- Foster positive working relationships with stakeholders, particularly in production and warehouse operations.
- Comply with health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.
