Key Responsibilities:
As a Manufacturing IT Application Developer, you will be responsible for managing and executing the operational technology (OT) portfolio at our Sparks facility. You will provide operational support for site-specific OT/IT systems, serving as the primary point of contact for requirements gathering and support of OT/IT solutions. Your role includes communicating progress, resolving issues, and utilizing appropriate systems for tracking portfolio work.
In this position, you will strategically lead, manage, and support site-specific OT/IT systems and processes. You will troubleshoot systematic issues, apply your knowledge of systems, and demonstrate effective leadership and management skills. Additionally, you will document and support disaster recovery for IT systems, write and execute necessary software validations, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Your responsibilities will also include assessing business needs and conducting process analysis to maximize the use of existing plant applications and BD enterprise solutions. You will gather and document user requirements, conduct systems design alternatives, and create system specifications to achieve project objectives.
As part of your role, you will adhere to all development, change management, and software validation policies and procedures. Proficiency in BD’s approved programming languages, such as Visual Basic and Dot Net, along with database administration skills in Oracle and SQL Server, is preferred. You will also manage outsourcing needs for plant infrastructure and participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.
