POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Manager of Pathology Support, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the Oncology Commercial Operations through continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborating closely with the Director of Operations, you will ensure that the goals of the company, department, and team are achieved by leading and implementing process enhancements that enhance operational efficiency. This role focuses on project coordination, sample acquisition, continuous improvement, and driving operational efficiency.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the Director of Operations and stakeholders to support and maintain both new and ongoing projects and launches.
Evaluate team needs concentrating on production capacity, customer support, logistics coordination, and effective problem-solving.
Oversee and manage the laboratory professional staff, including ASCP Certified PAs, CTs, and HTs.
Provide cross-functional leadership to analyze, launch, and develop continuous improvement projects aimed at achieving departmental objectives through high-level collaboration among various business functions.
Utilize advanced Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Cellular Flow, Mistake Proofing, and Total Productive Maintenance to drive process improvements.
Create a comprehensive system to monitor and track the progress of all projects, ensuring that all deliverables are timely and met.
Establish and manage escalation procedures for delayed or problematic programs in collaboration with Operations Managers, Directors, and internal stakeholders.
Engage with management to resolve challenges, roadblocks, and barriers to progress.
Collect and analyze performance metrics based on products and services.
Gather information from cross-functional teams to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
