Your Role:
As a Management Trainee, you will navigate through a 4-phase training program designed to immerse you in every facet of our business operations. This includes areas such as shipping and receiving, counter sales, operations management, employee development, and more. You will cultivate customer relationships by managing your own sales territory and delivering exceptional customer service. Throughout your journey, you will receive mentorship and support from experienced managers and colleagues across Canada to help you build a successful management career at EMCO.
Program Outline: Over the span of 3.5 to 4 years, you will progress through four distinct phases:
Phase 1 (12 months): Warehouse and Customer Service – Develop product knowledge and gain hands-on experience with the logistical aspects of our business. Learn how products transition from vendor to customer while engaging in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory control, and financial statements.
Phase 2 (12 months): Customer Relationship Management and Procurement – Transition from addressing customer service inquiries to managing large-scale projects. Build strong relationships with customers and vendors, and gain skills in interpreting blueprints to prepare material quotes for projects.
Phase 3 (15-18 months): Account Management and Proactive Sales – Focus on business development as you identify new opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, and foster strategic customer partnerships.
Phase 4 (3 months): Leadership and Operations – Step into leadership by providing a strategic vision, mentoring your team, and managing business operations with an emphasis on developing leadership competencies.
Upon successful completion of the training phases, you will be prepared to take on managerial responsibilities at one of our Canadian Profit Centers.
