Your Role:
As a Management Trainee, you will navigate through a structured 4-phase program designed to immerse you in every facet of our business operations—from shipping and receiving to counter sales, operations management, and employee development. You will cultivate your sales skills while managing your own territory and delivering exceptional customer service. Throughout your journey, you will receive mentorship and guidance from experienced managers and colleagues across Canada, equipping you for a successful management career at EMCO.
Program Overview: Over approximately 3.5 to 4 years, you will progress through the following phases:
Phase 1 (12 months): Warehouse and Customer Service – Gain hands-on experience and product knowledge while mastering the logistics of our business. Engage in customer service, counter sales, order management, and more.
Phase 2 (12 months): Customer Relationships and Procurement – Transition from customer service support to managing large-scale projects. Develop strong relationships with customers and vendors, and learn to interpret blueprint drawings for project quotations.
Phase 3 (15-18 months): Account Management and Proactive Sales – Focus on business development by identifying new opportunities, selling our products, negotiating contracts, and fostering long-term customer partnerships.
Phase 4 (3 months): Leadership and Operations – Step into a leadership role, providing strategic vision, mentoring team members, and driving business success through effective coaching and vision setting.
Upon completing the program, you will be well-prepared to take on management responsibilities at one of our Canadian Profit Centers.
