Join our team as a Level 1 Mobile Phone Technician, where your expertise will be vital in performing cosmetic repairs, diagnosing faults, flashing handsets, and conducting functionality tests. You will also be responsible for replacing batteries and accessories, ensuring seamless communication with senior technicians, and adapting to the evolving needs of our dynamic work environment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Practice Electro Static Discharge awareness to prevent damage to equipment.
- Conduct basic fault diagnostics to identify issues effectively.
- Resolve blacklisting, SIM card, or network issues to confirm faults are handset-related.
- Perform functionality checks to rule out user errors.
- Determine the warranty status of handsets to identify potential damages.
- Utilize RF test equipment and PC for functional testing to ascertain defects.
- Implement software and cosmetic repairs to rectify identified faults.
- Log job details into the TIM system to maintain a comprehensive repairs database.
- Adhere to manufacturer guidelines during repairs.
- Provide support to the team as needed.
- Meet agreed targets that align with business requirements.
- Maintain personal equipment with anti-static checks, calibrations, and software updates.
- Proactively improve performance and quality of work.
- Consistently meet business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Your success will be measured by KPIs focused on key responsibilities:
- The Repairs Department must ensure all mobile handsets are repaired and returned to customers within 14 days in satisfactory working order.
- You will work at an individual test bench with the necessary equipment and access to specialist tools in the workshop.
- Attendance at required training sessions is expected.
- A high level of quality will be a key performance metric.
