As a Legal Project Manager at Clifford Chance, you will play a pivotal role in the efficient delivery of significant legal matters. Collaborating closely with the File Partner and Managing Associate, you will leverage resources from the Legal Support Centre (LSC) and other business professionals to manage the complete matter lifecycle, from pricing and initiation to post-closing activities. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that all matters align with client expectations, are delivered on time, and remain within budget.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing proposals for scope, resources, and budgets in consultation with clients and team members, while tracking progress and addressing variances.
- Coordinating with File Partners and Managing Associates to ensure adequate resources are allocated for matters based on anticipated activity and team availability.
- Facilitating kick-off meetings and ensuring teams are informed about client expectations and any updates.
- Maintaining effective communication channels and resources, including team distribution lists and data rooms.
- Establishing and maintaining any necessary information barriers and insider lists.
- Acting as the liaison for matter-specific personnel, external counsel, and service providers.
- Creating matter timelines to monitor milestones and dependencies, providing status updates to stakeholders.
- Identifying potential risks and issues, proposing solutions, and coordinating actions to address them.
- Assisting with billing processes and providing necessary updates for clients.
- Coordinating post-closing matter reviews.
