About the Role
Location: New York, NY; Hybrid
As Legal Counsel within our Turnaround & Restructuring Services (TRS) Legal team, you will be instrumental in structuring, launching, and managing high-stakes client engagements. You will collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams as well as TRS Americas consultants and external counsel to navigate complex legal matters with precision and sound judgment.
This full-time position in New York, NY reports to the Associate General Counsel - Restructuring.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Draft, review, and negotiate engagement letters, agreements, non-disclosure agreements, disclaimers, report access letters, and related documents for TRS clients.
- Conduct legal and risk reviews of reports and work products prior to client issuance.
- Negotiate contingent fee terms.
- Review Directors & Officers (D&O) insurance policies, prepare board resolutions, and coordinate with brokers and external counsel for interim management engagements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to resolve outstanding issues and secure engagement approvals.
- Maintain internal trackers for engagement letters and interim management engagements.
