Lead Teacher - Physical Education at KIPP Academy Lynn Charter School

This position demands a consistent display of the following essential job functions and key responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Classroom Responsibilities
Act as a lead or co-lead in a classroom, undertaking tasks such as leading a class independently, co-teaching, or providing coverage as needed throughout the academic year.
Ensure that every student feels valued, affirmed, and challenged on a daily basis.
Promote a positive and safe learning atmosphere.
Develop and master rigorous and engaging lesson plans, utilizing provided curricula and intellectual preparation tools.
Create academically aligned lesson plans, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments as required.
Establish ambitious growth goals for all students and utilize necessary resources to help them achieve these targets.
Innovate best practices to deliver engaging, differentiated instruction that challenges all students.
Implement school-wide or grade-level student culture systems and proactive classroom management techniques.
Continuously analyze student work and academic data to adjust lessons, refine curricula, and inform instructional approaches.
Maintain accurate student records and grades, fostering robust communication with students and families regarding their progress.
School and Professional Responsibilities
Complete required MTEL and SEI endorsements with financial backing from KIPP MA within the first year of employment, alongside free study support (requirements document).
Engage in professional development activities, including summer training and weekly sessions during the academic year.
Take initiative in honing your teaching craft by seeking feedback and collaborating with colleagues within and outside of designated structures.
Fulfill assigned duties and responsibilities as outlined.
