As a pivotal member of our IT team reporting directly to the IT Manager, the Lead Senior SharePoint Developer will spearhead the transition of data and workflows into SharePoint, while maximizing the efficiency of Microsoft tools across the organization. The successful candidate will also provide high-level expertise in developing Power Apps and Power Automate workflows, ensuring smooth integration within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This position demands extensive knowledge in SharePoint administration combined with project management expertise to facilitate successful migrations and optimize the use of Microsoft applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain SharePoint sites, libraries, and workflows to meet organizational needs.
- Lead SharePoint migration initiatives, guiding projects from initial planning phases through execution and providing post-migration support.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to capture requirements and define project scopes for SharePoint and other Microsoft applications.
- Devise migration strategies and methodologies, including thorough data mapping and cleanup processes.
- Customize SharePoint environments, including sites, libraries, and lists, tailored to the organization's requirements.
- Conduct training sessions and develop documentation that empowers users to leverage SharePoint and Microsoft tools effectively.
- Continually monitor and enhance performance, storage capabilities, and access permissions across Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Stay informed of Microsoft updates and features to drive productivity enhancements.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for SharePoint-related challenges.
- Collaborate closely with the IT team to ensure the seamless integration of SharePoint with existing organizational systems.
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in SharePoint administration and leading migration projects.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, particularly SharePoint Online, along with associated technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to build SharePoint methodologies from the ground up and create in-house tools that support various departments and functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven experience in developing solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on user support.
- Experience with data migration tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is advantageous.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications related to Microsoft 365 or SharePoint are highly desirable.
