Position Overview
The Relationship Lead (RL) is a critical player in Packt’s publishing framework, focusing on attracting top-tier authors and implementing impactful marketing strategies after publication. Acting as a vital connector among subject matter experts, developer communities, and Packt’s content objectives, the RL will identify and foster relationships with influential figures in technology, ensuring each published work garners the visibility, engagement, and commercial success it deserves across various sales platforms.
This role is strategic and outward-facing, requiring a unique blend of interpersonal skills, product insight, marketing expertise, and a strong community-building ethos.
Key Responsibilities
Post-Publication Marketing Execution
- Enhance book visibility on platforms including Amazon, Packt.com, and various third-party sales channels through systematic marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal marketing and growth teams to optimize metadata, target keywords, and create audience-focused messaging.
- Devise promotion plans tailored to specific titles, incorporating outreach efforts to Amazon reviewers, email marketing campaigns, and community engagement events.
Strategic Community & Influencer Engagement
- Forge relationships with developer communities, online forums, and tech meetups to uncover content gaps and discover potential authors.
- Partner with tech influencers across platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and others to generate excitement around new publications.
- Establish ongoing collaborations with community advocates to enhance the impact of book launches.
- Oversee influencer-led campaigns, measuring ROI from social media posts, videos, and content mentions.
Amazon Review & Reputation Management
- Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified reviewers to procure verified reviews for new releases.
- Monitor review quantity and feedback sentiment, collaborating with authors and marketing teams to ensure actionable and constructive feedback.
- Create a scalable strategy for acquiring reviews that supports ongoing post-launch success.
