About the job
Ignite curiosity. Foster independence. Cultivate a lifelong passion for learning.
At Guidepost Montessori, we are dedicated to empowering children aged 3–6 to become confident and capable learners through meticulously crafted environments and respectful, personalized guidance.
If you have a deep passion for early childhood education and are excited about leading a classroom where independence and joy are paramount, we would love to connect with you.
Your Role
As a Lead Children’s House Guide, you will guide a diverse preschool classroom within a Montessori setting, expertly designed to promote concentration, confidence, and profound learning.
Montessori educators carefully curate their classrooms to inspire curiosity and independence. Through attentive observation, tailored lessons, and intentional communication, you will support each child's academic, social, and emotional growth, meeting them at their level and facilitating their development.
Children in Montessori settings enjoy the freedom to select meaningful tasks, revisit activities until they achieve mastery, and take pride in their successes. Your mentorship is vital in helping each child cultivate focus, self-assurance, and a strong belief in their capabilities.
What You’ll Do
- Closely observe each child to understand and nurture their physical, intellectual, and emotional growth.
- Prepare and sustain a beautiful, organized classroom that encourages concentration and independence.
- Instill self-confidence by guiding children as they learn to “do it themselves.”
- Deliver personalized and small-group lessons in practical life skills, literacy, mathematics, and more.
- Forge strong, respectful relationships with children and their families.
- Engage in open communication and collaboration with parents to support each child’s development.
- Lead your classroom with warmth, professionalism, and purpose.
