POSITION SUMMARY
As a Lead Composite Technician at Embraer, you will be responsible for conducting routine and specialized maintenance inspections to ensure the reliability of aircraft mechanical systems and components. Your expertise will also include thorough operational checks on hydraulic systems, plumbing, precision assemblies, rigging, and controls.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess components to determine the necessity for repair or replacement.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance crew.
- Manage Task Card completion timelines effectively.
- Establish appropriate repair strategies, including parts selection, and procure necessary components from inventory.
- Repair, rework, and modify defective assemblies, implementing alterations as needed.
- Adhere to approved maintenance protocols, consulting FAA-approved internal procedures, OEM technical data, and work package guidelines.
- Conduct inspections on completed work to identify any rework requirements and ensure compliance with standards and tolerances, collaborating with the Project Manager for technical assistance as needed.
- Perform serviceability tests on repaired components and systems using OEM-specified test equipment.
- Complete work package documentation, signing off once all tasks are finalized.
- Submit work for review to the Project Manager and coordinate with Quality Control for final inspection and airworthiness certification.
- Provide the Project Manager with performance metrics and operational data as required.
- Comply with repair station procedures (RSM/QCM) and company policies (SOP) during aircraft or component maintenance.
