About the Role:
- As a Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing existing customer relationships while driving new business opportunities. Reporting to the National Key Account Manager, you will collaborate with a multi-functional team and engage with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Account Management for existing customers
- Ensure customer retention and satisfaction
- Facilitate annual contract renewals with price adjustments
- Manage collections and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
- Implement up-selling strategies
- Develop new business opportunities
- Collaborate with branch teams to enhance customer service delivery
- Conduct market surveys and competitor analyses to identify service gaps
- Enhance customer profitability and margins
- Provide feedback to service teams to improve client experiences
- Attend to additional responsibilities as assigned
Key Performance Indicators:
- Achieve a customer retention rate of 95%+
- Ensure 100% on-time contract renewals
- Meet targets for price increases from existing customers
- Manage collections and DSO as per set targets
- Generate new sales in alignment with monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals
Essential Skills:
- Exceptional customer relationship management capabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrable success in customer management and business development
- Ability to collaborate across functional teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years in sales, including at least 2 years in key account management
- Familiarity with the geographical area relevant to the role
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
